Today I want to show everyone something about how the beautiful game became so beautiful. I often ponder what makes soccer more than just "a sport" to almost everyone of us. What is the fire that sparks the passion in us for the beloved sport?
As I thought about it for awhile I realized what makes soccer such a beautiful thing. I understood what it actually means to be in the soccer world or to be called a "footballer". It means soccer is not just a game or just a sport. See, soccer is a lifestyle for many people across the globe. To millions of people soccer is their sport, their hobby, and their life. The game has given life and a chance for happiness to millions.
Soccer is what brings people together. No matter your size, height, gender, ethnicity, race, social class, or income, soccer is therefor you. The game can bring the wealthiest most fit and socially popular person on earth together with the poorest of poor child living without a roof over their head with just the pass of a ball.
No matter who you are or what you do the second you step foot onto the pitch or throw on your club's jersey, you become a footballer.
